Re: HP DJ 2130 won't print from MS Word 2016 on windows 7
Hi Roops,
Thanks again. Still no luck ... here is what I remember trying so far:-
- Turn off and switch on the printer after a few minutes.
- Turn off and switch on the computer after a few minutes.
- Try printing from web - successful.
- Uninstalled any old devices.
- Set the HP DJ 2130 as default.
- Uninstalled driver software again and used disk setup, then uninstalled and installed from web (using full download- not just drivers)
- I tried some word troubleshooting (I can't remember all, sorry).
- Uninstalled and reinstalled word (in order to 'reset to factory settings').
- I changed the DNS settings on my computer (for VPN purposes) just days prior to word not printing and wondered (and doubted) if this might have caused the problem, so I set them back to the original settings, but as expected, that didn’t do anything.
- Checked for more word related printing problems and one site instructed me to remove some registry HKEYs from the word directry. I created a restore point and went ahead and followed the instructions with all the related files. This certainly did seem to truly ‘reset’ word, but still did not fix the printing issue.
- I tried turning off bitdefender, that didn’t work as expected, but since it was giving me the s**ts I uninstalled it, tried printing again then installed Avast. After Avast did all it’s installing and trying up the system, I tried printing again.
- Lastly, I tried your removal and reinstall instructions in you last comment. This took the DJ 2130 off completely, however I noticed that I still had another HP printer (Officejet Pro x576dw) listed, even though I thought I had uninstalled it. I followed the same instructions to try to remove it properly. It wasn’t listed in the ‘uninstall a program’ list, but it did show up everywhere else. At step 9 I get the following popup message:-
The following package(s) can not be deleted:
hpcm450u.inf (x64)
This package contains the following driver(s) that are in use:
HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP PCL 6; This driver is used on:
HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP PCL 6 (Network)
The following driver(s) can not be deleted:
Driver HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP PCL 6 (x64) is in use. It is used on:
HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP PCL 6 (Network)
Could that be the problem?
Kind regards,
Brigit
Printer isn't working - there is a problem with the printhead
Hello,
All of the sudden after I replaced the ink, i get this message everytime - There is a problem with the printhead.
Can't print anything, maintance funtioncs doesn't react,
I read on the internet about the non-HP ink and tried to update the printer - didn't help.
At the moment it says my printer is up to date, firmware version no.: PNP1CN1828AR
I would realy love to hear why a month after the warranty goes off, my printer gets crazy.
Any ideas?
My printer condition shows "Temporarily disconnected" - how to remove this?
My printer status for, HP Photosmart 7510 all-in-one, shows "Temporarily disconnected". How do I remove this condition and bring the printer back to a normal situation, where I can print again?
Re: Print Queue Problems HP8600 Windows 10 latest upgrades
Last year I un-installed this software including the driver 6 times. This is not a show stopper but very inconvenient. With HP Scan and Print doctor I can clear the print queue. And YES this is a software problem of an interaction between Windows 10 with the latest upgrades and HP Printer software. I would rather prevent this from happening than having to fix it. I did give all the details of the software including the Firmaware in the printer. If you are an HP employee is the firmware in the printer up to date? I pointed out that I get different answers as to the version of the driver? What is the correct driver and what will give me the check on this? I didn't have problems when I was on Windows 7 and I didn't have these problems when I first went up to Windows 10 pro (64bit). But I suspect it is since one of the Windows 10 upgrades that they now isssue about twice a year. You could of course say well it is a Windows issue nothing to do with us at HP. But surely your software/drivers have to work with Windows in its latest iteration. I have seen other posts about problems with this printer software and Windows 10. So maybe it is an issue that HP should investigate and fix or if it is something that Microsoft have caused then you should have the power to at least ask them to address the situation. I am happy to provide any other information or diagnostic information. I did include in my post all the information that I could including the firmware in the printer. I do get a bit annoyed when I am told to go through steps such as re-install the software cleanly that I went through with HP support last year see the case number. But thanks for replying but it is not an answer that pleases me very much - I would prefer to prevent this happening. I did work in IT networking for over 10 years and I prefer not just to fix the immediate fault but to try and sort out any underlying problems.

Can't print instant ink code
I'm trying to register a 2600 series for instant ink. I've printed a page which confirms it's connected to the internet, but when I move onto the next step of pressing the info button and the cancel button at the same time, it only prints a small hp logo. What am I doing wrong? Printer fast heading for the bin.

Re: Continue to get Error Message Oxc19a0042 - Followed Steps but nothing worked
Hi!
Don't worry I'd like to help you out. Let me ask you a few questions in order to assist you better.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Have you tried checking with a different ink cartridge?
Are you using HP genuine ink cartridges?
Please share the operating system you are running on your PC to assist you better.
Let's continue with the troubleshooting steps now.
Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on the printer.
Try the steps recommended below.
In some cases, removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer can clear the error message.
Turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.
Try to print.
Also, try checking with a different cartridge on the printer.

Re: Not printing from MS Word
Welcome to HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are facing issues while printing from the Deskjet printer. I’d suggest you perform a power drain and then try making a copy. Here are the steps:
- Remove the cartridges from the printer.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord(This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now, try to make a copy and check. If the copy works fine, then try to fix the printing issue from the PC using HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR). PSDR is an automated tool which can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Please go to http://hp.care/2bZ9w2q to download and run HP PSDR. Once you open the program, select your printer and click on “Fix Printing” to automatically diagnose and fix the issue.
If the issue persists, let's try these general steps which have helped solve similar issues:
1) Go to Control panel - Devices and printers - Right-click on DeskJet 3635 and select "Printer Properties". Click on "Advanced" tab and make sure the "Advanced printing features" are enabled. Now try to print. If the issue persists, go to the next step.
2) Go to Control panel - Programs and features - Locate Microsoft office package - Right-click and select "Change" option. You will get an MS Office pop-up window. Select the "Repair" option and select "Continue". Follow the on-screen instructions to repair the office package. Once done try to print and check.
3) Try to change the printer permissions as suggested below:
- Press the "Windows logo key" + "r" to get “Run" - Type "spool" and press ok.
- Right-click on "PRINTERS" - Select "Properties"
- Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
- Go to "Devices and printers", right-click on the new printer that you installed and select "Printer properties".
- Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
- Restart your computer and then try to print.
4) If the above steps did not solve the issue, then open the MS Word / MS Excel file as an administrator and then try printing. Right-click on the file and choose run as administrator to open as administrator. Let me know if that works.
