I just recently reconnected my OfficeJet 8600 printer. All status reports come out good. Everything shows its connected. All firmware is updated, brand new ink cartridge. Test pages print just fine. First couple prints went great, now nothing prints. No notice of error, jam, or problem other than after 30 seconds or so it says error could not print.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Alignment Page Printing Issues for HP ENVY 5530!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP ENVY 5530 printer is not printing the alignment page correctly, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Verify the Ink Cartridge

- Replace any low or empty cartridges with genuine HP cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
Clean the Printhead
- Automatic Printhead Cleaning:

- If the print quality is still poor, repeat the cleaning process a few times.
Load Plain White Paper
Check the Paper Type:

Load the Paper Correctly:
- Pull out the paper tray, slide the paper-width guides outward, and then remove any previously loaded media.
- Insert a stack of plain white paper into the paper tray with the print side down and short edge forward.

@wlgyl, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Thanks for sharing the screenshots — I can imagine how frustrating it must feel when something as routine as printing from your PC just…won’t work, especially when it works perfectly from your phone.
From what I see, the error code 0x8000ffff typically points to a driver or configuration issue. Windows seems to have trouble talking to the printer, even though it’s showing up in your list.
Here’s what I’d recommend:
Clear out the old drivers
Uninstall HP Smart Printing and any other HP-related drivers:
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Click on the printer > Remove
Press Win + R, type printui /s /t2 → remove any leftover HP drivers.
Reinstall the printer fresh
Restart your PC.
Go to HP’s official driver page, search for “DeskJet 4252e,” and download the Full Feature Software.
Install it with the printer connected or nearby.
Quick tip: Since it's working smoothly on your phone, it’s likely connected over Wi-Fi. Make sure your PC is on the same network as the printer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Re: Printer screen shows Print cancelled with a blue bar flashing below it and is stuck there HP ...
@Jack596, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Photosmart Plus B210a printer is stuck on a "Print Cancelled" screen with a flashing blue bar, and power cycling hasn't resolved the issue. Let's work through this step-by-step to get your printer back up and running.
Perform a Hard Reset
This can often clear out stuck jobs or firmware glitches.
- Turn the printer on.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall and then into the printer.
- Turn the printer on if it doesn’t power up automatically.
Check if the screen clears and the printer returns to the home screen.
Clear Print Queue on iPhone
Sometimes, a stuck job on the mobile device can cause issues.
- On your iPhone, double-tap the Home button or swipe up to view open apps.
- Close any apps related to printing.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth and toggle it off and on.
- Restart your iPhone.
Update Printer Firmware (if accessible)
If the printer becomes responsive again, check for firmware updates:
- Visit the HP support page.
- Enter your printer model: HP Photosmart Plus B210a.
- Download and install any available firmware updates.
Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults
If the issue persists and the printer is responsive enough to navigate menus:
- On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Restore Factory Defaults.
- Confirm the reset.
Try Printing a Test Page
Once the printer is back to the home screen:
- Go to Setup > Tools > Print a Test Page.
- If successful, try printing from your iPhone again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Re: I have an error on my printer screen and I am unable to print.
@Aubie19, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the printer issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
That “E0” error with the blinking ink and ! icons usually means the printer isn’t recognizing the new black cartridge properly. Try this:
Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall for about a minute.
Gently remove the black cartridge, check for any protective tape (even a tiny piece left behind can trigger this).
Reinsert it snugly — you should feel a soft click.
Plug it back in and turn it on.
If the lights still flash, it might be a faulty cartridge. If it's new and genuine HP, the place of purchase may offer a replacement.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer issue HP 6700!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Sorry to hear your HP 6700 all-in-one is giving you trouble with the ink system — that can be so frustrating. Since the hard restart didn’t clear the error, let’s try a couple of quick things:
Open the printer cover and check if the ink cartridges are seated properly — sometimes they shift a bit and the printer senses an issue.
Gently remove and reinsert the cartridges, making sure they click in place.
Look for any dried ink or debris around the cartridge contacts — a soft, lint-free cloth can help clean them carefully.
Hope this helps!

The error message "There is a problem with the printer or print systems. Turn the printer off and then on" typically indicates an internal issue within the printer that requires troubleshooting. Here are the steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Restart the Printer:

- Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Check Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure all cartridges are properly seated.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads to check for any available firmware updates for your device.
Reset the Printer:
- Sometimes a hard reset can clear any internal issues. To perform a hard reset:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and then to the printer.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" error message!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for obstructions in the carriage path
Clear obstructions from the carriage area inside the printer.
With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Open the door to access the carriage inside of the printer.
Look in the carriage path for debris such as crumpled paper or dislodged labels, and then remove any that you find.
Use your hand to move the carriage to each side, making sure it moves freely. If the carriage is stalled or docked to one side of the printer and you cannot move it, continue with these steps.
Close the carriage access door.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer, and then turn the printer on.
Hope this helps!

@Brian11231, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Envy Inspire 7200!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Thanks for sharing the details — it’s always frustrating when the printer seems fine but just won’t cooperate when you need it.
Since your ENVY Inspire 7200 prints a test page, we know the basics are working. But if emails give you a “print failed” error, it might be a hiccup between your email app and the printer.
Try this quick fix:
Restart both your printer and computer.
Open the email, and instead of using the app's print button, try downloading the email as a PDF and then printing the file directly from your PDF viewer.
If that works, the issue is likely with the email app’s print handling.
Also, make sure the printer is set as default and connected via the correct port.
Hope this helps!
