Re: Scan-to-mail doesnt work
Hey Alden,
i already checked everything you mentioned.
We also had a older HP Printer. A OfficeJet 87XX i think.
The older Printer is in the same network, with the same settings but works.
The newer one stopped working. I also tried to reset the printer and add the settings manuelly but the printer still doesnt work.
Have you got any more ideas?
Re: paper jam in a cp-1515n
Hi @m3vuv,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the paper jam may have caused some misalignment or damage to the pickup roller or its mechanism. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially reset the pickup roller timing on your HP CP-1515n LaserJet printer.
- Power Off: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety.
- Access the Pickup Roller: Open the front cover of the printer to access the pickup roller area. You may need to consult your printer's manual for specific instructions on accessing this area.
- Inspect the Pickup Roller: Carefully examine the pickup roller for any visible damage, such as tears or debris that may be causing it to malfunction. Clean the roller and the surrounding area with a soft, lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt or residue.
- Check the Positioning: If you suspect that the pickup roller is out of position, you may need to realign it. Some printers have a manual release lever or button that allows you to move the roller into the correct position. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
- Resetting Pickup Roller Timing: If you believe that the timing of the pickup roller has been affected, you may need to reset it. Unfortunately, not all printers have a user-accessible mechanism for adjusting the timing of internal components like the pickup roller. In many cases, this requires accessing the printer's service or maintenance menu.
- Service Menu Access: Accessing the service menu typically involves pressing a specific combination of buttons on the printer's control panel or using a combination of buttons and the printer software on your computer. Again, consult your printer's manual for instructions on accessing the service menu and adjusting the pickup roller timing.
- Factory Reset (if necessary): As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings to their factory defaults, so you will need to reconfigure any custom settings afterward.
Always exercise caution when working on your printer to avoid causing further damage or injury.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @TimTimTim1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your HP Photosmart 3210 isn't printing from your computer and you've already attempted some troubleshooting steps, here are a few more things you can try.
Restart Print Spooler Service: Sometimes the print spooler service gets stuck, causing print jobs to remain in queue. You can try restarting this service by following these steps:
- Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and press Enter to open the Services window.
- Scroll down and find the Print Spooler service.
- Right-click on it and select Restart.
Update Printer Drivers (Alternative Method): Although HP no longer supports your printer, you might be able to find generic drivers or drivers from third-party sources that could work. Try searching online for compatible drivers for your printer model and install them manually.
Use Compatibility Mode for Driver Installation: If you have the driver installation files but they're not compatible with Windows 10, you can try installing them using compatibility mode:
- Right-click on the driver installation file and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for.
- Select an older version of Windows (like Windows 7 or Windows XP) from the dropdown menu.
- Click Apply and then OK.
- Run the installer again and follow the on-screen instructions.
Printer Troubleshooter: Windows 10 includes a built-in troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix printing problems. Here's how to use it:
- Go to Settings> Update & Security> Troubleshoot.
- Click on Printer and then click Run the troubleshooter. Follow the on-screen instructions to see if any issues are detected and resolved.
Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, installing the latest updates can resolve compatibility issues with printers and other hardware.
Reset Printer Settings: You can try resetting your printer to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve communication issues between the printer and the computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Re: Error on HP officejet 4650
Hi @Smecha,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are getting an error message 0XB39FF018 on your officejet. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Re: Magenta catridge not working
Hi @EvRobbo ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble with a new magenta cartridge not working in your HP ENVY 5020 printer,
here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the magenta cartridge is properly installed in the correct slot. Sometimes cartridges can be slightly misaligned or not clicked into place securely.
- Remove and Reinsert Cartridge: Take out the magenta cartridge and then reinsert it firmly into the printer. This can help establish better contact between the cartridge and the printer.
- Clean Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, the metal contacts on the cartridge and within the printer can become dirty or obstructed. Gently clean these contacts with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly dampened with distilled water. Be careful not to touch the nozzles or electrical contacts with your fingers.
- Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on. This can reset the printer and sometimes resolve minor issues.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP ENVY 5020 printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix compatibility issues with new cartridges. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Print a Test Page: Use the printer's built-in test page feature to see if the magenta color is printing correctly. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridge or another component of the printer.
- Try Another Cartridge: If possible, try using a different magenta cartridge to see if the problem persists. It's rare, but occasionally, new cartridges can be defective.

Hi @Zelestrob,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY 7640 printer is consistently giving you a false paper jam error message despite your efforts to clean and inspect for any jams, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and possibly override the system.
- Reset the Printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve false error messages. To do this, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the back, and wait for about a minute. Then, plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on again.
- Check for Small Paper Shreds: Even tiny pieces of paper or debris can trigger a paper jam error. Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect the printer's rollers and paper path for any remaining shreds of paper or debris. Use compressed air to blow out any dust or debris that may be causing the issue.
- Check Paper Tray Alignment: Make sure the paper in the tray is aligned properly and not overloaded. Adjust the paper guides to fit snugly against the paper stack.
- Inspect Internal Components: Open the printer's access door and check the interior for any obstructions or foreign objects that may be causing the error. Carefully remove any debris you find.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve software-related issues.
Keep in mind that attempting to override the system may void your printer's warranty or cause further damage if not done correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835. I was changing ink cartidge but I put the black one on the wrong side. The longer side of the cartidge was supposed to be at the back but it is on the front side. Now it's stuck and I can't get it out. Is there some way I can do it without damaging my printer? I trided to pull it out but it won't work. Or I just need someone stronger to do it?
