Printer cartridge started burning!
My printer display started flashing this morning. I could not find out why, nor was I able to get it to stop without unplugging it. Shortly after plugging it back in, I tried to print something when I saw a "cartridge error". I took the problematic cartridge out, and noticed it had evidence of burning on the cartridge nozzle (near what I believe is the heat plate). I don't know if this is a fault of the printer or the cartridge, and I do not know if it's safe to keep running this printer. Who should I talk to in order to resolve this issue?

This was the unknown error on my printer today, too. Careful, check your ink cartridges. Mine had evidence of burning when I tried my next print job. We had no power surges here, either, so I'm unsure what would have triggered a power issue.

ENVY Printer 7800 series - continued "cartridge error"
Our HP Envy Photo 7800 series printer continues to have a cartridge error with the black cartridge. We can print in single cartridge mode and we have tried to replace the cartridge 3 times. Anyone have any advice how to get the dual cartridge mode back to working?

I would try plugging it in overnight and then starting it. Some printers use a rechargeable battery and some just use a regular coin cell.

Hello, I used the smart app and even tho the device is detected still same result.
It prints a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and when I connected the device to a different computer with older drivers it works perfectly fine.
The device is connected directly to the computer and the device manager detects it.
I think I need to re install the old drivers to my computer since it seems the problem is there.

officejet pro 8600 "waiting for printer to become available"
Officejet pro 8600 suddenly giving message "waiting for printer to become available." Connected via USB cable to 2019 Macbook Pro running 11.6. Printer is recognized in System Report > USB, etc. No software has been added to computer, no updates, etc. Has worked fine for years then this message. Much googling produces no solution. Any help greatly appreciated.
