Hitting Control print doesn't work

I recently set up my HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium.  I can just about print from anywhere EXCEPT if I have to do a "Control P".  This worked fine on my other printer (the exact model that had to be replaced.)  I can do a print screen but the font is way too small to read.  Anyway, I am sure it is some little thing I have not selected that will enable this to print from "Control P" and your help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
