Hi. I have an HP 3630 all in one printer. I have used both original (genuine) and remanufactured ink cartridges in it in the past. I have just purchased some new, genuine cartridges (both tri colour and B&W). However the ink light on the printer and the empty symbol will not stop flashing and nothing will print.
I have tried EVERYTHING (yes the sticky tape is removed!). I have tried turning it off, taking cartridges out, leaving them in, turning it on and off for different periods of time, tried taking all wires out, tried resetting the factory defaults, enabling and disabling cartridge protection, tried cleaning the contacts gently on the cartridges and the printer etc etc etc. I cannot print anything - not even a tester page. When I go in to HP Smart on my windows laptop and look at the ink info, it says 'incompatible cartridges' - this has never been the case until I installed these new, genuine ones!
The only possible issue that I can identify is that the info on the cartridges says that one of them is XL...which it is not. Is there a way of resetting the contact between the printer and the cartridges a-fresh/anew so that it is communicating properly with these new ones - almost like wiping its memory and starting again?
Thank you, please help, it is now affecting my business...and my mental health!!! Ben
