I recently changed the ink cartridges in my OfficeJet Pro 6830. I used brand new, genuine HP cartridges. I printed a PDF with some images in it, but they looked wrong. The magenta ink seemed to be missing. So I told the printer to clean the heads. It ran through that process and gave me a test page, but there was still no magenta. I told the printer to do the second level of cleaning, which it did. That test page looked better.
Now, it refuses to print. I've sent a document to the printer from my several times. The print job seems to spool like it's supposed to. The printer responds, showing the "Printing" status screen on its display panel. Then it makes the "I'm done" chime. But it hasn't actually done anything. Nothing moved inside, and no paper came out.
It's like when I tell my kid to clean his room. He wanders off to his room for a few minutes, then comes back to announce that he's cleaned it, but absolutely nothing has been moved.
As far as troubleshooting goes, I've restarted the printer several times. I've unplugged it for over 15 minutes and tried again. And I've reinstalled the drivers on my computer. No change.
