I think that the information you have posted is incorrect. If it was correct, that would mean of course that every Windows 8 browser would need to be patched. The Windows 8 system that I was using was in fact fully up-to-date.
You should revist the referenced HP printer mentioned at the top of this post for relevence to this issue. It fits the case to a T.
