Thanks! I didn't mean to sound obstructive. Updating the printer firmware, assigning a manual IP for the printer and then adding AirPrint driver may resolve the issue.
Here is how to do it:
1.) Download and install the latest printer firmware update from here.
2.) Use the steps available here to assign a manual IP for the printer. (Even though the video is for a Windows PC, those steps can be used to assign a manual IP since we would only require a web browser to assign a manual IP)
3.) Restart printer and Mac PC.
4.) On your Mac, click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
5.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
6.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
7.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
8.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
9.) Try to print and scan.
Let me know how it goes!
