Hi
Just left Grandaughters house, followed all the instructions from your last reply re root.
Ran Print and Scan Doctor again - all of the tabs good, showing green tick boxes and communicating with printer.
Click TEST PRINT, goes to queue but does'nt print out, leaves print queue. It then asked try internal print, clicked yes and it printed. Windows then started configuring Basic driver software and then done a restart, carried out remainder of instructions.
Ran print/scan doctor again, it found some problems and fixed told me to restart and run again which I did as instructed by software, still not doing a test print same as a/m.
Clicked on your final link in your last reply which connected to HP support, displayed HP compiling results could take up to 3mins, after 25 mins of runnung I felt it was'nt doing anything and aborted. Uninstalled everything as per your instruction, downloaded and installed DJ3630_FULLWEBPACK_1107.exe and installed, followed all prompts.
Signed into HP printer web services, did'nt open, aborted and went to printer setup, result printer connected to wifi, displayed connected your printer status, clicked next, I selected NO INSTANT INK option then continue, displays are you sure, selected skip.
I have now got printer properties saying, this is a webservices printer. The Windows troubleshooter reports make printer default and applied fix. Hardware propeties3630 reports device working but still no print of test page.
Run Print/Scan Doctor again, reports all green ticks once again but still no test print.
Wireless Network and Configeration page reports all good and pass.
Network test results reports all good with very good signal quality.
As you will imagine I have spent so much time trying different print troubleshooting that does'nt seem to correct the fault I am getting a bit fed up with it all, is it time to bin this HP printer that does'nt work with a HP laptop ? I am reluctant to do this as I only bought the printer 2yrs ago for my Grandaughters Christmas present and her laptop is only 1yr old. Why oh Why is HP/Microsoft making this so hard to achieve a working solution ?
Thank you for all your help so far.
