Are you still experiencing issues? This could be caused by an internal hardware issue, however since it is occurring with two different models it may also be a connectivity issue. Does this occur when you print a test page from the front panel? What is the exact 5500/5300 model (D5560, D5563, etc.)? Please Click Here for print quality steps related to the D5560 model (steps should be similar for other models of this series). If the issue is not present when printing a test page from the front panel connecting printer with new cable or a generic driver may help.
