I also have the same issue with my 8600 and HP support sucks!!! I will never buy another HP product for our hotels. I have bought genuine HP ink cartridges and now they are junk and so are the printers because you can't contact a **bleep** human to get anything resolved. Yes I am pissed that I have to waste so much of my time to resolve an issue that HP created. Your responses from all the web forum threads I've found are all the same so I am assuming you are not even real either. So looks like I am going to have to place a big order with Brother or Epson for new printers and because of this also will not be buying HP for computers either. I am very upset about this whole issue.
