The Out of Paper error message is usually caused by either:
- Rollers that need to be cleaned, or
- Printer's firmware that needs to be reset.
Go to www.hp.com to find a troubleshooting document or video for assistance in solving this issue for a specific printer. Select Support & Drivers and click the Troubleshooting option in the middle. In the search field for Enter product name or number, enter one of the following:
Model #
Product #
Full name of printer such as "Officejet Pro 8600 Premium"
Click Go and when the next page opens, click Solve a problem. When that opens, select Jams and Feed Problems and then the Out of Paper option for help. Follow the steps in the guide.
