Do you have any issue with any other software other than with the PaperCut software? If the issue is with only this software then the issue is likely that software is not compatible for the printer. Have you contacted the support for that software to see if the issue can be resolved that way? 

Additionally, you might try one of the universal print drivers for Laserjets, I would try the PCL6 Driver :
