My HP Officejet Pro 8500A (2 months out of warranty) is continuing to display the empty cartridge message even though I have replaced it (twice) with a new HP cartridge. I have tried rebooting both computer & printer several times, taking new cartridge out and re-inserting etc. Googling the problem seems to suggest it's common, but I haven't found any fixes.
This has happened once before - that time inserting a second new cartridge did the trick (& I put it down to the cartridge rather than the printer).
I'd appreciate any help!
