CallBob - ensure you do not have multiple copies of your printer when you select to print from another program. If you do see multiple copies of your Officejet 4622 (one may say Network and one may say Fax), if this is a printer on your wireless network, make sure you select the printer with Network beside it. You may also see Copy1 or Copy2, be sure to use the most recent one. It is very likely the wrong printer has been set to default as well and that explains why test copies work but not from the software. I hope that helps.
If not, what are you trying to print from (Word, the internet, etc)?
What is your operating system (Windows 7, Mac, etc)?
How is the printer connected (USB, wireless or Ethernet)?
