Hi,
I have a new HP Laserjet P1102 printer. I am having trouble with it. When I try install the printer from the CD software, nearing the end I get error message: Error. Printer not installed. That's it. I checked the event viewer and there are no eror messages relating to printer.
I have also tried adding the printer using the Add Printer in Devices and Printers. The printer is added but everytime I sent a print job to the printer, the trouble shooter appears. When I runt eh troubleshooter it states that "A print job is was preventing printing from printing". It "fixes" this issue but printer goes Offline. I must un - tick the use printer offline option. When I send abother print job, the exact same thing happens.
I am conencting using a USB directly conencted to PC (Windows 7 32Bit). Here is what I have tried:
- I have tried installing XPS Driver, PCL5 and PCL6 Drivers (32Bit). Same problem with all drivers.
- Checked Print Spooler. It is started and set to Automatic.
- Ran HP Scan Doctor Utility. It shows the printer in the list but states at the end that it cannot find the printer.
- Tried changing USB Ports.
Be grateful if someone could shed some light on this issue....
