I know this is an extremely common issue with this printer. I've run through cleaning the printhead over 10 times and set it to print in black in for over 20 pages just to see if it'll clear any type of clog that might be a problem. I also noticed a massive reservoir underneath the printhead where it rests when the printer is in an idle position. It was filled with black in like the printer was processing the printing requests properly but is unable to push the ink through the printhead, so it falls out of the open gap between the bottom of the printhead, and the area that the cartridges sit in.
The cartridges being used are brand new HP 564 XL. I knew the last one wasn't empty, but I swapped it out anyways thinking it may have dried out for some reason, and still the same problem.
I'm posting this to basically ask what type of luck did anyone have of getting these printers replaced since they have massive ink overusage and printhead issues?
Does support recommend buying a new one or getting it repaired locally only? Or will they RMA a new printer?
