Hi Dudes007,
I would like to help you with the clicking noise you are hearing from your Photosmart 6520 when you print. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;
- Is the printer on a flat surface?
- How long has the printer been noisy for?
- Did anything change around the time the noise started? (ie. paper jam, error message, printer was dropped/bumped, power surge)
- Are there any blinking lights, or error messages on the printer?
- When was the last time that the cartridges were changed?
- If you make a blank copy, when do you hear the grinding noise?
- If you open up the printer do you see any broken parts?
- When opening up where the cartridges go, do they move freely?
- Are the cartridges installed correctly? (ie. cartridges are level and not popping up).
- Perform a hard reset. With the power on remove the power cord from the back of the unit, and then the wall outlet. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (drains the excess power from the printer). Plug the power back into the wall outlet, and then the printer.
- Are you still getting the clicking noise after this?
I look forward to hearing from you.
