Hello,
I bought this printer in 2006. It works very well, and I just connected it to a new PC (the 3rd one since 2006) running the 3rd Windows version (original installation with XP, later with Windows 7 and today with Windows 10 64 bits).
I downloaded therefore yesterday from the HP web site and installed the software suite AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe. Printer, scanner etc... work well, but after installing this software, when I switched on the PC, I got a nasty 2 minutes popping message "Please wait while Windows configures status".
After looking on various forums, I ran "msconfig" and disabled the "HP Digital imaging" item from the list in the Start Up tab. Now the nasty popping windows comes when I launch the scanning function in the "HP Solutions center" software (sorry for the maybe inadequate translation from French). I use this software only for scanning documents. I don't use the fax anymore. From 2014 to today, I used the same software (Perhaps another release, but there is no visible change in the windows) with the same printer on another PC running initially Windows 7 and later (2016) Windows 10. I have never seen this popping windows before.
I tried to contact the HP support, but my "old" printer is no longer supported by HP.
I would be happy to find a way to resolve this configuration issue and get rid of the popping message.
Thank you for your help
