Hi,

Ok, so a few more things for you to try then for this issue. (it's definitely an odd one).

The very first thing I would like you to try is to run a repair on a file. Here is how to do this:
go to the temp folder - press the windows key + R, this will open the run box. Type "%temp%" and press ok. now you should be in the temp folder. From here, you are looking for either a 7z**** folder or an HP folder.(you may have multiples). Inside this folder you should see a setup folder, open that. In here you should see a folder for bufferchm, open this. You will have 3 files in this folder, one is an MSI file (bufferchm.msi) right click on this and repair the file.  
Once the repair is finished try the photo programs. This file specifically helps read image files (.jpeg,.btmp ect.) If this did not resolve continue with the steps below.

First uninstall all printer software. Make sure it's all removed for your programs/feauters and from the devices/printers folder.
From that point you can go to start screen> this pc> local disk (C: )> program files(check both)> and remove all HP folders that you find. (If you are using other HP products DO NOT DO THIS).

Next, go to this path:
C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3
Or if windows 64 BIT got to
C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\spool\drivers\X64\3
(pick based on system BIT)
Delete all folders and then rename the #3 folder to 3.old

Now, going back to "programs and features" and uninstall adobe flash player from there. Next you can use this llink to reinstall adobe flash: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT , (be sure to download this while in Internet Explorer(File Explorer).

Once that has all been done, using a USB connection just do an "in OS" install. This is just simply going to devices and printers and adding a printer. Letting the computer detect the printer and installing it with the drivers it determines are for it. (you may still be required to pick the driver, if so just pick the corresponding driver.) If this is successful, test again to see if there are any options. If there's no options for size still please let me know.

If it worked, you can leave it as is but will not have the scanning feature for that you will need to reinstall the software removed before. If it failed, I would suggest trying to install again and testing. If all of this fails, please let me know.
