Hi RnRMusicMan,
Thank you so very much for getting back to me - had an idea I'd hear no more! Not used to taking this route to see if a problem can be solved – I usually contact PC World for assistance. Well, I actually think I’m okay now. I asked the same question online, about my printer not picking up photo paper, and I came across a HP site dedicated to sorting printer problems – this site: http://www8.hp.com/h20621/video-gallery/us/en/customer-care/2732732188001/fixing-paper-pick-up-issues---hp-deskjet-1510-all-in-one-printer/video I ran through the video – well, I tried the very first rectifier test, simply unplugging the printer while it was turned on, then unplugging the power source, and then reconnecting everything again – and that did the trick. So I’m delighted. If I do have any more of this trouble I’ll contact you, and the group. In the meanwhile, I think that little video ought to be made widely known – and any other HP online help like it. I mean, take a look at Amazon: my HP Deskjet 1510 has the abysmal kind of one star rating that will scare people away from what is, when it’s working (as it now is) an excellent, cheap basic printer. Maybe you and HP could make this online help more widely known? Just a thought.
Anyway, thanks again RnRMusicMan, I’m much obliged to you,
Best,
pnokio
