I understand you have an Officejet 4500 that is not printing properly. I'm sorry to hear this, and I will certainly do my best to help out!
I will recommend that you begin with performing a hard reset on the printer and during that process, ensure the printer is plugged directly to a wall outlet. Once that is done, see if you're able to Print a Self-Test Report. If that prints successfully, try download and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer and see what it has to suggest.
