No that does NOT take care of the issue and is insulting. If we are smart enough to get to this web site most of us are smart enough to read the troubleshooting for ourselves duh! I ran the print align, I cleaned the print heads, I did the power reset and I even removed the dang cartridges, cleaned them with distilled water and returned them. I replaced ALL the cartridges and I put brand new printer paper in. And what happened???? IT STILL WILL NOT ALIGN AND IT STILL WONT PRINT BLACK. ....SO POSTING OVER AND OVER TO DO THE ABOVE STEPS THAT THE DANG WEBSITE ALREADY SHOWS US TO DO IS WORTHLESS!!!! I don't know why HP wants to pretend they don't know this is an issue, i saw literally hundreds of different users with the same problem. The HP C6280 is a lemon pure and simple and guess what? I got a new canon and I will NEVER buy another HP product. You people screwed me on my camera that just stopped functioning while taking pictures and on the 6th one...it stopped. I bought another one...same thing. Nothing happened, it just stopped and NONE of the troubleshooting helped one iota. Now the printer....and this is crap. It was on page 4 of 5 pages and just stopped printing black. Im not a moron, I did all the steps then replaced the black with new ink cartridge, and then....all the rest with new ink cartridges even though the ink gage shows full on every one......this is not my first rodeo. It would not print, black - so I aligned the print heads again, and again and cleaned them and then took them out - cleaned each one and reinserted them...etc etc.......wouldn't align - wouldn't print black. and now after every single thing tried, yet again, step by step...STILLL WONT align or print black. I guess what I want to say is if you can't be helpful or mildly interesting just leave a blank place where you would have texted. Jeez.
