Ok, now for the problem. I tried to print a PDF doc.The graphic at the top of the doc printed on the light side, but the text didn't print at all. I noticed the ink levels were low, so bought new carts. Installed the carts, ran printhead cleaner, result looked good. tried to print same doc, with same results. Ran printhead alignment. Only cyan printed and error appeared on printer "Alignment Failed You may continue but Cartridges are not calibrated for best print quality. Touch OK to continue" Then I tried to scan and print a picture. the reproduction was excellent, crisp with no descernible color change.
tried printing a couple of jpegs from each computer, all good. Now it gets weirder. Ran the Scan Doctor and fix printing.
printed the page, colors are good, anignment box looks good, but text is missing at top of page. I've tried printing doc, txt, pdf files from all 3 computers with no difference. if the pdf has graphics, they print but not the text. But xls docs will print. I tried printing the ststus and quality reports fom the printer front panel, all I got was colored outlined boxes and filled colored boxes, no text. Reinstalled software on all computers, no luck.
