I too am having this issue but my printer is hard wired into my router. I am getting a "Printing page, 11% complete" but still shows idle.
Running OS X 10.7.5 and have set my printer to a static IP, printing test page from HP Utility works as does printing from my wife's laptop. I was going to try the steps that you included links to in the quoted paragraph below but the "reset your printing system" link doesn't work.
"If that page does print, please reset your printing system (don't add the printer back just yet), then perform a verify/repair of your disk permissions before rebooting your Mac. Once the Mac reboots, please run your Software Updates and then when they complete, re-add the printer to your Print and Scan folder and try to print again."
