Can you set up to use Color and Black Cartridges at the same time in a 8600 printer?

I am asking this question because I have a page that 90% is black, all the text, and only has a 10% in color, a small image.

Does my printer print all the page in color, or does it uses both, black cartridge for black text and color cartridges to print the image?
