officejet 6500 only prints some data

I have the officejet 6500, my pc is a brand new Dell with Win8.  When I try to print an airline boarding pass only the disclaimer at the bottom prints, nothing else.  I can print the itinerary fine. any other documents print fine before and after trying to print the boarding pass.  I have brand new ink cartridges, they are full.   the test print job comes out beautifully. I have tried selecting to print in grayscale, black only, and checking the box print all text in black ink, nothing works. This is so frustrating!
