Hi @timlee,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2755e prints the first page clearly, but subsequent pages have ink dropouts, forcing you to print one page at a time. Let’s go through steps to troubleshoot this issue.
1. Check Ink Levels
Ensure all cartridges, especially the ones for black and color, have sufficient ink.
Low ink can cause dropouts on multi-page prints.
2. Align and Clean Printheads
On your printer, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Next, run Clean Printhead (usually under Printer Maintenance) to remove any clogged nozzles. You may need to run it 2–3 times for stubborn clogs.
3. Use Genuine HP Cartridges
Third-party cartridges can sometimes cause inconsistent printing, especially on multi-page jobs.
4. Check Paper Settings
In the print dialog on macOS, ensure the paper type matches what’s loaded (e.g., Plain Paper).
Incorrect paper type can affect print quality on multiple pages.
5. Update Printer Firmware & macOS Driver
Use HP Smart or the HP website to check for firmware updates for the printer.
Also, make sure your macOS driver is the latest version compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia.
6. Print Quality Test
Print a Printer Diagnostic/Nozzle Check page.
Check if streaks or dropouts appear. If yes, repeat cleaning or consider replacing the problematic cartridge.
7. Reduce Print Speed / High-Quality Settings
In the print dialog, set Print Quality to High or Best.
Slower printing sometimes prevents dropouts on multi-page documents.
I hope this helps.
