If you are receiving a "Photo tray blocked" message on your HP ENVY Inspire 7900e printer while using macOS Sequoia, follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
1. Remove Jammed Paper from the Photo Tray
Ensure there is no jammed paper in the photo tray.
- Open the Main Tray: Open the main paper tray to access the photo tray.
- Clear Jammed Paper: Remove any visible jammed paper from the photo tray.
- Push and Check the Photo Tray: Push in the photo tray to ensure it is properly aligned and not obstructed.
2. Clean the Photo Tray Rollers
Dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers and cause issues.
Turn off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
Clean Rollers: Lightly dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled or filtered water. Open the main tray, push back the photo tray, and gently press the cloth against the rollers to clean them.
3. Reset the Printer
Resetting the printer may help in resolving the error.
Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer. If it does not turn off, unplug the power cord from the printer.
Unplug and Wait: Unplug the power cord from the power source. Wait for 60 seconds.
Reconnect and Turn On: Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer. Turn on the printer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
