That must be incredibly frustrating—especially when you're expecting a smooth print run and it just stalls mid-job. You've already done a great job trying the basics, so let’s build on that with a few steps that might help get things flowing again
Step 1: Check Printer Connections
Ensure that your printer is properly connected and gets a stable network signal.
Check Wi-Fi Connectivity:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Place the printer close to the Wi-Fi router to avoid signal issues.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, iOS device, and Wi-Fi router.
- Unplug the printer and Wi-Fi router for 30 seconds.
- Plug them back in and turn on the devices.
Step 2: Clear Print Queue
- Clear Print Queue on iOS:
- Open the Printer app on your iOS device.
- Select your printer and clear any pending print jobs.
Step 3: Check Ink Levels and Paper
Low ink levels and paper issues can cause printing problems.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Check ink levels via the HP Smart app.
- Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
Check Paper Tray:
- Ensure the paper is properly loaded without any jams.
- Use high-quality paper compatible with your printer.
Step 4: Update Epson Smart App
Ensure the HP Smart app on your iOS device is up to date.
- Update HP Smart App:
- Open the App Store on your iOS device.
- Search for HP Smart and check for any available updates.
- Install the latest version of the app.
Step 5: Verify Printer Settings
Ensure printer settings are correctly configured in the HP Smart app.
- Verify Settings:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Select your printer and ensure settings such as paper size, print quality, and orientation are correctly set.
Step 6: Perform Printer Reset
Resetting the printer can often resolve temporary issues.
- Reset Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
- Turn on the printer and try printing again.
Step 7: Reinstall HP Smart App
Reinstall the HP Smart app to ensure it functions correctly.
- Reinstall HP Smart App:
- Uninstall the HP Smart app from your iOS device.
- Restart your device.
- Download and reinstall the HP Smart app from the App Store.
- Reconfigure the printer settings and try printing again.
