@Lucretia6, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer shows a "Printer Failure" message despite all your efforts. Let's walk through some additional steps to help resolve this issue.

This error typically indicates a problem with the ink system or internal hardware. Here's what you can try:

Power Reset (you’ve done this, but let’s confirm the method)

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug all cables, including the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips).
  • Reconnect and turn on the printer.

Check Printer Level

An uneven surface can cause ink system issues.

  • Place a small round object (like a marble) on top of the printer.
  • If it rolls in any direction other than back and left, the printer may not be level.
  • Adjust the surface or printer position accordingly.

Check Ink Cartridges

  • Remove all cartridges.
  • Inspect for damage or low ink.
  • Reinsert them one at a time, ensuring each clicks into place.
  • If any cartridge feels empty or faulty, replace it.

Use HP Smart App – Diagnose & Fix Tool

If you're using Windows or macOS:

  • Download or open the HP Smart app.
  • Click on “Diagnose & Fix” (bottom left on Windows).
  • Follow the prompts to detect and resolve issues.

HP Smart App Diagnose & Fix Guide

Check for Ink System Errors via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If your printer is connected to a network:

  • Find your printer’s IP address (usually on the control panel or via the HP Smart app).
  • Enter the IP in a browser to open the Embedded Web Server.
  • Check for any ink system errors or supply issues.

If the error persists after all these steps, it may indicate a hardware issue. Then, we suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United States | HP® Support
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
