@TehcnoHeaven, I see you were interacting with @Kuroi_Kenshi however, he's away for now and I'd love to help you out!
Thanks for sharing those clear screenshots – that really helps paint the full picture!
From what you’ve shown and described, it looks like your HP 8139e is struggling with how it interprets certain PDF layouts—especially those with non-standard aspect ratios (like square-ish formats). The issue seems to stem from how the print scaling is being handled by the PDF viewer or Chrome OS itself, rather than the printer hardware.
Let’s try some steps that can smooth out those rough edges:
Try Printing as Image (Always Works!)
You already noticed it—when you print the file as an image, everything fits and nothing gets chopped. This method forces the system to treat the PDF like a picture, avoiding any confusion about page dimensions or margin math.
✅ In the Print menu, go to "More Settings" > "Options", and check "Print as image".
Adjust Scale Carefully
Use “Fit to Printable Area” instead of “Fit to Page”.
Or set custom scale to 95% or 97%, especially if you're noticing edges getting trimmed even with correct settings.
Margins and Paper Size
Make sure Paper Size = Letter (8.5x11) and Margins = Default or No Border.
In some PDF viewers, unchecking “Choose paper source by PDF page size” can prevent weird cropping.
Update Everything
HP Smart app: Ensure it’s fully updated.
Firmware: From the HP Smart app, go to your printer > Settings > Advanced > Update Firmware.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
