@deolinda, Thanks for the update — and I'm really sorry you're still stuck with a frozen printer, especially after getting it up and running for the first time. That’s definitely frustrating.

 

From what you’ve shared, it sounds like the printer’s sleep mode might be getting a bit too cozy and not waking up properly. When it goes into sleep, and the panel stays blank with no response — that's not how it's supposed to work.

Here’s something that might help:


Try disabling sleep mode entirely (for now):

Open the HP Smart app on your computer or phone.

Go to Advanced Settings> Preferences> Sleep Mode or Energy Settings.

Set the sleep timer to a higher value or disable it temporarily.

If that doesn't bring it back to life, the issue might be firmware-related.


➡️Try updating the firmware from HP's website — even if it feels unresponsive, sometimes connecting it via USB to a PC and pushing an update can kickstart things.
