Check Print Settings
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click your printer → Printing Preferences.
Make sure it's set to:
Paper source: Auto or Main tray.
Paper type: Plain Paper.
Print on both sides (duplex): Off.
Clean the Paper Rollers
Turn off printer.
Remove paper.
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the rubber rollers inside the paper tray.
Let dry. Reinsert paper and try again.
Try Printing Without HP Smart
Use a USB cable.
Print a file (like a PDF or Word doc) from your computer directly — not through HP Smart.
