Try these steps:
Remove and Reinsert the Ink Cartridge
Power On the Printer
- Ensure that your printer is turned on.
Open the Cartridge Access Door
- Lift the cartridge access door. Wait for the print carriage to stop moving and become idle and silent before proceeding.
Release the Cartridge
- Lift the lid on the cartridge slot gently and push the lid back to release the cartridge.
Remove the Cartridge
- Pull up on the cartridge to remove it from the slot.
Inspect the Cartridge
- Check the cartridge for any debris or damage. Ensure the cartridge electrical contacts are clean.
Reinsert the Cartridge
- Hold the cartridge at a slight angle and slide it back into the slot. Press the lid down to secure it.
Close the Cartridge Access Door
- Close the cartridge access door and wait for any error messages to clear.
Restart the Printer
- Power Cycle
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 15 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Additional Issues
If the error persists, further troubleshooting may be necessary, such as resetting the printer or checking for printer firmware updates that might address specific errors.
