Try these steps:

Check Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Ensure that both ink cartridges (tri-color and black) are properly seated in their corresponding slots.
  • Remove and reinstall the cartridges to make sure they are correctly positioned.

Clean Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Use a clean, lint-free cloth or cotton swab slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
  • Clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges go.
  • Wait for the cleaned areas to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Perform a Printer Alignment:

  • After reinstalling the cartridges, the printer might prompt you to align them.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform an alignment.

Update Printer Firmware:
