Hi @Julia8882
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
The "Error 75" on your HP LaserJet M140we printer typically indicates an issue with the toner cartridge, often related to compatibility or validation.
Here’s how you can resolve it:
Step 1: Verify the Toner Cartridge
- Ensure that the new toner cartridge is an original HP cartridge compatible with your printer model (e.g., HP 141A or HP 142A).
- If you’re using a third-party or refilled cartridge, the printer may not recognize it properly.
Step 2: Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 2–3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to reset the system.
Step 3: Reinstall the Toner Cartridge
- Open the printer’s toner access door and remove the cartridge.
- Reinsert the cartridge securely, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Close the access door and check if the error persists.
Step 4: Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support
- Install the firmware update to ensure compatibility with the toner cartridge.
