If you encounter the error code 049834E8 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer, it typically indicates a problem related to the printhead or ink cartridges. Here are specific steps to help resolve this issue:

Step 1: Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  2. Turn the printer back on and see if the error persists.

Step 2: Check the Printhead and Ink Cartridges

The error code might be due to issues with the printhead or ink cartridges. Follow these steps to inspect and resolve any potential issues:

Remove and Reinsert the Ink Cartridges

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.

  • Push in on the front of the ink cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you to remove it from its slot.
  • Reinsert the ink cartridge into its slot and ensure that it snaps into place properly.

  • Close the ink cartridge access door.

Replace the Printhead (If Necessary)

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.

  • Lift the carriage latch handle to unlock the printhead.
  • Without removing the ink cartridges, grasp the sides of the printhead, and then lift the printhead and pull it toward you.

  • Place the printhead face-up on a sheet of paper.
  • Remove the new printhead and SETUP ink cartridges from the package, set the ink cartridges aside.

  • Grasp the printhead on both sides with the electrical contacts facing the rear of the printer.
  • Carefully lower the carriage latch handle until it snaps into place.

  1. Close the ink cartridge access door, and allow the printer to complete its initialization process.
  • Additional Troubleshooting

If the error still persists, you should contact HP Support for further assistance or consider replacing your printhead if it's damaged or incompatible. Replacement printhead assemblies can be ordered from the HP Parts Store or through authorized service providers.
