The HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 printer showing a blinking light at the cartridge place and issues with paper feeding can be caused by several factors. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the Cartridges
Ensure Cartridges are Properly Installed
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Verify that the cartridges are installed in the correct slots and are firmly snapped into place.
Clean Cartridge Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Remove each cartridge and clean the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Reinsert the cartridges and close the access door.
Inspect and Clean the Paper Path
Remove Any Jammed Paper
- Check the input and output trays for any jammed or torn pieces of paper and remove them.
- Open the access door and clear any obstructions inside the printer.
Clean the Paper Feed Rollers
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Open the paper path cover and clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Manually rotate the rollers to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned.
- Allow the rollers to dry completely before reconnecting the power cord.
Reload Paper
Load the Paper Correctly
- Ensure that the paper is properly aligned and the width guides are adjusted snugly against the paper stack.
- Do not overload the tray; load a maximum of 25 sheets of plain paper.
Check the Paper Type
- Use only clean, wrinkle-free paper that meets HP's specifications for the Ink Tank Wireless 419 printer.
Reset the Printer
- Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer, wait for 60 seconds, and then turn it on again
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
