@RJRobertsonSr, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since your HP ENVY 5644 e-All-in-One Printer prints a test page fine from the printer itself but ejects paper when printing online (wirelessly), this is likely a software, driver, or connectivity issue rather than a hardware problem like the main logic board.

Possible Causes & Solutions:

Printer Spooler & Drivers Issue

  • The print job may be getting corrupted when sent over the network.
  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP drivers.

Steps:

  1. Uninstall the printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Remove HP printing software from Control Panel > Programs & Features.
  3. Restart your PC.
  4. Reinstall the latest driver from HP website.

Network Printing Conflict

  • If the printer is set up on both Wi-Fi Direct and your network, conflicts can occur.
  • Try forgetting the printer from your PC and adding it again manually.

Steps:

  1. Forget printer: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, remove the printer.
  2. Re-add it: Click Add a Printer, select it from the list, or manually enter its IP address.
  3. Test print from Word, PDF, or Notepad.

Default Printer Settings Issue

  • Windows may be sending the job to the wrong queue or misconfigured port.

Steps:

  1. Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP ENVY 5644 and set it as default.
  3. Go to Printer Properties > Ports and make sure the correct port is selected.

HP Smart App Conflict

  • If you’re using HP Smart, uninstall it and try printing via standard drivers.

Firewall/Antivirus Blocking Wireless Print Jobs

  • Temporarily disable firewall and antivirus to check if they are blocking network printing.

Firmware Update

Outdated firmware can cause network printing issues. Update via:

  • HP Support Assistant or
  • Printer’s Web Interface (Access it via its IP address in a browser).

>Try connecting via USB and print. If it works, then it’s clearly a wireless issue

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
