Hi @DFW48
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It seems like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 is stuck on the "Low Ink" screen.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds, then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
2. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
- Inspect the cartridges for any protective tape or packaging that might still be attached. Remove it if present.
- Reinsert the cartridges securely, ensuring they click into place.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve known issues and improve performance.
4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset
- Unplug the printer and hold down the Cancel (X) button and the Wi-Fi button simultaneously while plugging it back in.
- Release the buttons when the printer powers on.
