The orange light located below the LCD display on your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 All-in-One Printer usually serves as a warning or error indicator. Here are some common reasons why this light may be illuminated:
Ink Cartridge Issue
Even if there is ink available, the cartridges might not be installed correctly or could be defective.
Solution:
- Open the cartridge door and reseat both cartridges.
- Check for any tape that may have been left on new cartridges.
- Run a cleaning cycle using HP Smart or through the printer settings.
Paper Jam or Paper Feed Issue
A paper jam or improper paper feeding can also trigger the orange light.
Solution:
- Inspect the printer for any jammed paper, including the rear access area.
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.
Printhead or Ink Clogging
If you are experiencing blank pages, the ink nozzles may be clogged.
Solution:
- Print a diagnostic page by pressing and holding the Cancel (X) and Copy Black buttons simultaneously.
- If the page is blank, initiate a printhead cleaning from the printer software.
Connectivity Issue
If you are printing over Wi-Fi, an unstable connection might be the cause.
Solution:
- Restart both your printer and router.
- Try printing via USB to determine if the issue persists.
