@Nick566, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an error message on your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The “Photo Tray Blocked” message usually means the tray isn’t properly aligned or there’s something preventing it from moving freely. Here are a few steps to get things working again:

Check the Photo Tray Position

Gently pull out the photo tray and make sure it's fully seated in its proper place.

If your printer has an adjustable paper guide, make sure it's not too tight against the photo paper.

Remove Any Paper Jams or Obstructions

Check inside the printer and the photo tray for any bits of paper or dust that might be blocking movement.

If you see anything stuck, carefully remove it.

Reset Your Printer

Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait about 60 seconds.

Plug it back in, turn it on, and try printing again.

Update Your Printer Firmware

Sometimes, a quick firmware update can resolve unexpected errors. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or your printer’s settings menu.

Looking forward to your update!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
