@Missmooific, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand how frustrating it must be to have to unplug and restart your HP ENVY 6022e every time you want to print — that’s definitely not the experience we want you to have. Let's see if we can get this sorted out for you.
Here are a few steps that might help resolve the issue:
Reset the Printer
- With the printer turned on, unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
- Wait about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in and turn the printer back on.
Update Printer Firmware
- Sometimes connectivity and power issues are caused by outdated firmware.
- You can update it by opening the HP Smart app or going to HP’s support page and checking for the latest updates for your printer model.
Turn Off Sleep Mode (if applicable)
- On the printer control panel, go to Settings> Power> Sleep and either disable it or extend the sleep time to prevent it from going to sleep too quickly.
Network Connection Check
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.
- If you’re using a dual-band router, try connecting to the 2.4 GHz band, as it tends to be more stable for printers.
Regarding the emails — I get how annoying that can be. HP printers are designed to stay connected for updates and instant ink monitoring, which is likely why you're getting those notifications. You can adjust the settings in the HP Smart app to reduce these alerts or disable them entirely if that’s preferable.
If these steps don’t help, or if you’d like to explore other options, please feel free to reach out directly. We’re here to help make this right!
Looking forward to hearing how it goes. 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
