Hi @ADO90, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer still says the ink cartridges are low or empty after replacing them, try these steps:
Check Cartridge Installation
- Make sure the cartridges are properly seated in the printer. Remove them, then reinsert them firmly.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
- Let them dry completely before reinserting.
Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from power for 5-10 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check if the ink levels update.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- If you're using a computer, update the printer drivers from HP Support
- Uninstall and reinstall the printer in Devices and Printers (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac).
Check for Firmware Updates
- Go to your printer's settings and check for any firmware updates. You can also check HP's website for updates.
Check If Cartridges Are Genuine HP
- If the printer rejects the cartridges, verify they are genuine HP and compatible with your model.
- Some HP printers require setup cartridges when first installing new ink.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
