1: Cancel All Print Jobs & Restart Print Spooler
Stop the Print Spooler Service:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
- Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Stop.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open File Explorer and navigate to:
- Delete all files in this folder.
Restart Print Spooler:Go back to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.
Try printing again and check if the issue persists.
2: Check for Corrupt Print Jobs from Other Devices
- Disconnect the printer from the network (Wi-Fi/Ethernet).
- If the issue stops, a network device may be sending unwanted print requests.
- Check other computers or print servers on the network for stuck print jobs.
- Reinstall drivers on affected computers.
3: Disable Keep-Alive in Printer Settings
Some printers allow disabling Keep-Alive requests to prevent repeated printing.
Access the Printer’s Web Interface
- Find the printer's IP address (Control Panel > Network Settings > View IP Address).
- Enter the IP address in a web browser (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).
Disable Keep-Alive (if available)
- Look under Network > Advanced Settings or IPP Settings.
- Disable Keep-Alive or IPP Printing.
- Save changes and restart the printer.
4: Change the Printer Port in Windows
- Go to Devices and Printers (Control Panel > Devices and Printers).
- Right-click the MF451dw printer and select Printer Properties.
- Navigate to the Ports tab.
- If the printer is using an IPP port, switch it to Standard TCP/IP Port:
- Click Add Port > Standard TCP/IP Port > New Port.
- Enter the printer's IP address and follow the prompts.
- Click Apply and OK, then restart the printer.
