Hi @Tmautz, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet Pro M252dw is stuck in pause mode and won't resume printing, try these troubleshooting steps:

Check Printer Status in Windows (or macOS)

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac).
  • Right-click your HP LaserJet Pro M252dw and check:
    • If "Pause Printing" is enabled, uncheck it.
    • If "Use Printer Offline" is checked, uncheck it.
    • Click Resume Printing if the option is available.

Restart Print Spooler (Windows)

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.

Remove and Reinstall the Printer

  • Go to Devices and Printers, remove the printer.
  • Restart your computer and reinstall the printer using HP Smart or HP Easy Start.

Check Network and IP Address

  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer's control panel.
  • Make sure the printer’s IP address matches what is shown on your computer (you can add it manually in printer settings if needed).

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Download the latest drivers from HP Support.
  • Install the full HP Smart or HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose issues.

Hard Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
