Hi @Phirp, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding E3 error on your HP Envy printer!
The E3 error on an HP Envy printer generally indicates a carriage jam or paper feed issue. Since you've already checked for paper jams and reinserted the cartridges, try the following additional steps:
Check for Any Remaining Obstructions
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the cartridge access door and inspect the carriage area for small torn paper pieces or debris.
- Move the carriage left and right gently to ensure it's not stuck.
- Close the door and plug the printer back in.
Reset the Printer
- Disconnect the power cable while the printer is still on.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn it on.
Check the Paper Feed Mechanism
- Remove all paper from the tray.
- Fan the paper stack and reload it properly.
- Ensure the paper guides are not too tight.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the printer from power and press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power and turn it on.
