@Rmont917, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Cancel Print Jobs
- On Your Computer:
- Open the Printers & Scanners settings.
- Locate your printer and click Open Queue to see all the current print jobs.
- If there are any jobs stuck in the queue, try to cancel them by selecting them and clicking the Cancel button.
- Wait for a few moments to ensure the job is removed from the queue. If it still shows as printing, proceed with the next steps.
Turn Off and On the Printer
- Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
- Wait about 30 seconds, then turn the printer back on.
- This can help clear any temporary glitches and reset the printer’s internal memory.
Restart the Print Spooler on Your Computer
- For Windows:
- Open the Run dialog (press Windows + R).
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Find and right-click Print Spooler.
- Select Restart. This will clear any stuck print jobs.
- For Mac:
- Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click on the printer and select Reset Printing System (you’ll need to add the printer back afterward).
Check the Printer's Display
- Check the printer’s display screen for any error messages.
Disconnect and Reconnect the Printer
- If connected via USB:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer.
- Wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- If connected via Wi-Fi:
- Restart your router.
- On the printer's menu, reconnect to your network.
